This is a myth. In today’s violent growing society, bullying has been responsible for several acts of non-punishable crimes. The lack of attention to implementing and enforcing anti-bullying state laws, and funding anti-bullying school programs, is only making this problem worse. There is not enough being done to help prevent bullying, and the reason behind this is merely because, not enough is being enforced by our government and schools systems. There are those†¦show more content†¦The White House is where this attention is needed, but policies and laws are still lacking in states. The government needs to take this seriously in order for those down the chain of command to do so as well. Here’s my version of psychology to this matter. Stealing is illegal and there are severe consequences if one commits the crime, depending on the severity of it. This was taught to us at home, and throughout our growing lives. Without these laws, and penalties, we would probably be in a very different world right now. I’m not naà ¯ve to the fact that stealing still happens, but bottom line is that, those who are caught are punished and will, most likely, not do it again. Placing Anti-bullying laws and enforcing them with police and the other powers that be, all the way to the teachers, would make this situation taken seriously. If President Obama claims to care about this issue, he has the power to enforce, if not, mandate that all states enact laws, and create harsher punishments for those guilty of bullying (ex. creating a criminal record). Acts of bullying are not only physical. Bullying, to a victim, can result in fatality.
